People Are Hanging Easter Eggs In Windows So Kids Can Still Go On An Egg Hunt

If you celebrate Easter, then you know that decorating hardboiled eggs with dyes, stickers, and paints, and then hiding them around the house, yard, and neighborhood for children to find is a pretty big holiday tradition. Unfortunately, this year's hunts won't be able to take place due to social distancing initiatives and stay-home orders due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Not all hope is lost to still participate, however.

Instagram account @springegghunt is encouraging people to put on virtual egg hunts in their communities.

All you have to do is create an egg, hang it somewhere on your property for kids to see, preferably in a window, and then everyone's good to go!

Of course, once you're out there, make sure to keep that 6-foot distance between you and others.

People are already participating, and they look great, don't they?

This is a great activity to keep kids entertained while social distancing.

Most importantly, it keeps the tradition alive during these turbulent times.

And hey, you don't have to use real eggs! Which means more scrambled eggs and egg salad sandwiches.

Mmmmm.

So, what do you think? Will you be participating in the virtual egg hunt?
