A bit skeptical but eagerly crossing her fingers, Phillips went to her local Morrison's and picked up a carton of Clarence Court Braddock white eggs, the same kind the TikToker had used in their video.

Removing the eggs from the carton, she put all six into an incubator she picked up on Amazon and set the temperature to 99.5 degrees. After 10 days of waiting, she discovered that one of them was in fact fertile!

Out of six eggs, one of them proved to be fertile!

After identifying the egg with a process called "candling", she excitedly moved it back to the incubator to continue the hatching process.

After scouring over all the duck-hatching articles and information she could find, Phillips threw herself head-first into duck motherhood.

On the 27th day the egg began to hatch.

Three to four times a day for 27 days Phillips would turn the egg, spraying it with water to bring it down to room temperature before placing it back in the incubator.

After tireless effort and care, the 27th day brought a beautiful surprise; the sound of soft tapping coming from inside the egg!

After a 48 hour hatching process, Braddock Morris was born.

Baby Braddock got a new friend named Beryl.

Heeding the advice of other passionate duck parents, Phillips soon adopted another little duckling so Morris could have a friend.

Since little chicks are prone to feeling lonely and sad, the new addition of Beryl (a Kaki Campbell duck) was the perfect remedy.

Phillips and her two ducks live happily ever after.

Becoming fast friends, the two ducklings are now inseparable, learning to swim, eat, and play together inside a heated brood box.

Once their feathers have completely grown in, Phillips plans on building a shed in her yard, along with a small protected pond enclosure for them to swim in as they grow up.
