Rebel Wilson Shares The 'Simple Solution' That Helped Her Lose Weight

As fans know, 2020 was the "Year of Health" for actress Rebel Wilson. The Australian blonde bombshell kept fans updated with her weight-loss journey on social media as her millions of followers watched her embark on a healthier lifestyle. Now, it's the beginning of 2022, and Rebel is thriving, to say the least.

In a new interview, Rebel shared one of the biggest things she did to help her lose weight.

Rebel Wilson is everyone's BFF.

The hilarious blonde hottie has been a household name since we all fell in love with her in the 2011 comedy Bridesmaids.

She then went on to star in the Pitch Perfect franchise, which was a personal favorite of mine.

In 2020, Rebel began making headlines for her "Year of Health" initiative.

She told fans she was working on her health in an effort to live a longer, happier life and increase her chances of fertility.

This past summer, Rebel shared a never-before-seen photo with fans that she described as a wakeup call for herself.

In an emotional caption, she began: "Okay so I know that I normally post flattering photos of myself…but found this old photo in my emails and was like: whoa! I remember this was when I was at my most unhealthiest - being overweight and indulging way too much with junk food. Using food to numb my emotions."

"My father had passed away of a heart attack and it was such a sad time. I didn’t think highly of myself and wasn’t valuing myself how I should have," she explained.

"It’s interesting that I’m still smiling and still trying to be active - this was taken at a charity tennis tournament event (ps @djokernole is such a nice guy) - despite being in so much pain."

"I look back now at that girl and am so proud of what she’s become and achieved," Rebel continued.

"And just wanted to send out some encouragement to everyone out there struggling with weight or body issues or emotional eating. I feel you. I know what it’s like. But it’s never too late to start improving yourself and trying to be the best version of YOU possible."

"It’s not a race and it’s not a competition - it’s about respecting yourself and doing what’s best for YOU."

"So if you’re out there and reading this today, I just wanted to say: keep smiling and keep trying to be active! Love you guys," she concluded.

Now, Rebel has reached her goal weight and is thriving.

In honor of the season three premiere of Apple Fitness+ Time to Walk on Apple Watch, Rebel took listeners with her on her usual hike in Los Angeles.

"My goal was to get healthier and lose the bodyweight I didn’t want. I knew deep down that I wasn’t the healthiest version of myself because of work commitments," she admitted.

She explained she was going through "some fertility stuff. And the doctor said if I did get healthy, then that would be a lot better for me."

The actress explained that she suffers from Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, which "made it harder than an average person would have to lose weight."

Feeling overwhelmed by the prospect of weight loss, Rebel shared the simple solution that worked for her, as per Yahoo!.

"An Austrian doctor said 'Rebel, the best way for you to lose unwanted body fat is by just simply walking, it doesn’t have to be high intensity or uphill…just simply walk an hour a day.'"

I think that's such a reassuring thing to hear, especially if you're someone hoping to undergo a similar weight loss journey as Rebel.

"Sometimes the simplest thing like getting out and walking for an hour a day is the kindest thing to your body, and your body will respond to that."

How cool is that? Way to go, Rebel!
