Guy Starts Charting His Puppy's Growth After It Won't Stop Following Him Into The Bathroom

If you welcome a new, furry friend into your home, you'll likely find that it's impossible to be as excited about spending all your time together as they are. Oh, you may want to spend every waking moment with the pupper, but they'll actually attempt to do that.

Boundaries? Times and places when you really need to be alone? A doggo doesn't know about these things, it just wants to love.

And that's exactly what one Imgur user discovered whenever he tried to go to the bathroom. But rather than moan about it, he decided to turn it into a little project.

1. This curious little fella is Axl. We first meet him five days after the homie brought him home at 7.5 weeks old.

Yeah, we're gonna see a lot of shots of him trying to nestle into the poor guy's underwear. It's a good thing he's so adorable.

2. Actually, the user makes a point to mention that Axl's full name is Axl Riley.

Axl was born on September 11, so he added the name "Riley" in honor of one of the rescue dogs at Ground Zero.I know, that's beautiful and I'm starting to choke up too, but don't worry! It's all just cute and nice after this.

3. As some dog owners may have figured out, Axl seems to follow this man during every trip to the bathroom.

There aren't a lot of options when your pants are already around your ankles, so the dude just started taking pictures.

By 8.5 weeks, Axl can't fit quite as snugly into the underwear as he could before.

4. At 10 weeks, Axl really starts to struggle to fit inside those boxers.

It gets to the point where it looks like he plopped into a hammock wrong, got tangled in it, and now has to figure out which way is up.

5. By 10.5 weeks, our good boy's figured out that maybe just curling up on top of the underwear is a better idea.

It probably makes it a lot easier for the owner to get a good shot, too. He obviously doesn't have a shy bladder, either.

6. By the time Axl hits 12 weeks, even his newfound curl leaves his legs drooping over his human's zipper.

And he's certainly gotten big! We're at the point where we can barely see the guy's underwear anymore.

I tell you, that's not how I ever expected to measure a dog's growth.

7. At 14 weeks, even Axl's probably starting to notice that things are getting a little cramped under this toilet.

It wasn't so long ago that he wouldn't have even noticed the bottom of the bowl, but he's starting to run out of pants space here.

8. But even at 15.5 weeks, Axl's still trying to curl up on a bed of his owner's pants.

At this point, it's become a matter of watching that noble attempt get harder and harder as time goes on. I think we're even starting to lose sight of the jeans themselves.

9. By 19 weeks, this furry magician has managed to make the pants disappear.

I imagine that the owner's very aware of how challenging it is to balance the doggo between his legs at this point. Those are some strong pants!

10. The homie hasn't said anything about this, but I can only imagine that this gets a little more awkward the more the dog grows up.

Especially considering that he kind of has other business on his mind at the moment.

11. And yet, Axl just keeps on trucking with his attempts to fit between his human's legs.

Considering he's about 20 weeks old by this point, I can't help but admire the not-so-little guy's dedication. The owner must be wondering when this whole chapter is gonna end, though.

12. Apparently, the answer to that question is "by the time Axl hits his first birthday."

Yes, our lucky owner no longer has to balance a full-grown dog on his pants while he's pooping. Axl's content to just nibble on his pants now.
