20 Good Designs That Are As Cool As A Whole Bushel Of Cucumbers

Very rarely do we get to experience the joy of seeing something that completely blows us away. More often, though, we do get to experience seeing something that makes us go 'hey, that's pretty cool'.

That's more so what this list is about. A collection of designs that we think are as cool as a whole bushel of cucumbers, and hopefully you do too!

"This window in a local library that goes into a creek."

Libraries that go out of their way to provide unique experiences like this are truly the best. What better way for people to learn about local wildlife than being able to see it up close and personal in an environment that fosters education?

"The carpet in this airport has little airplanes on it."

These types of design implementations are always so cool. Just abstract enough that it blends in seamlessly with the space as a whole, but offers an extra level of detail and cleverness to those who take the time to look closely.

"Local pizza place uses a garlic knot to prevent the cheese from touching the box."

It's been a long time since I've seen one of those tiny plastic tables, now that I think about it, but I haven't been seeing many replacements for it either. I'd like to nominate this alternative to every pizza place. Both useful and yummy!

"Books-A-Million puts a slip of paper under the stickers on their books to prevent sticker residue being left on the covers."

It's nice to see a book store that actually cares for its products and customers! Across the globe, book lovers have been driven mad by sticker residue left on their covers, but no longer! Now they can peel off stickers in peace.

"This airplane designed to look like a whale."

Someone in the comments clarified this one, saying, "Designed to carry large aircraft sub components, just happens to look like a whale. Wasn't designed to look like a whale."

However, they saw the opportunity and took it by adding the decals to the nose.

"I’m staying at a hotel in Texas that has Texas shaped waffles for breakfast."

Well, it's definitely fitting! It helps that these waffles look genuinely good too, nice and fluffy. You wouldn't want to represent your state poorly with flat, disappointing waffles, now would you?

Now, if only you had Texas shaped plates to serve these on.

"The back of this washing machine has a happy little man on it."

I don't even know if my laundry machine has one of these little guys, but I'll pretend it does. I'd feel a lot better if I knew a tiny, happy guy was helping wash my clothes every time I threw a load in.

"A local sandwich shop includes hand sanitizer to wash your hands before you touch your food."

Knowing that a restaurant cares about its customers' health and hygiene this much means you can trust that they care the same amount, if not more, regarding their employees and their cooking facilities. It offers a lot of peace of mind!

"My dishwasher has a spot specifically for chopsticks."

A neat little feature. As someone who eats with chopsticks enough that they end up in every load of dishes, this would be well appreciated in my house!

"This store has a magnifier to read the fine print on medications."

I commend those who take the time to read that fine print. I suppose I'm in a place of privilege where I can just sort of grab whatever I need and walk out with it. All I need are the big words.

"Jaden [Smith's] water brand roasting [Nestle] about stealing water right on the side of their bottle."

Not only that, but they list all the other reasons why this brand of water is better right down to the packaging. Highlighting all these benefits help shoppers make a more informed decision, too. It's a great initiative that appears to be doing a lot of good!

"I needed a new tire pressure gauge - this one comes with two caps for the nozzles on the tire because they are easily lost!"

The world would be a much better place if every product that came with small, lose-able pieces also had a few replacements in the package. You really only see extra screws, but rarely extra caps, pins, etcetera. It'd prevent a lot of headaches.

"This tip underneath my candle top."

Looking out for customer safety is a hallmark of a good company with good values, but I can't help but wonder how many people actually took this to heart versus how many read this, chose to ignore it, and did the dangerous thing anyways.

"In Victoria there are Duck Ramps in the Harbour."

Less for ducks and more for ducklings specifically, as they don't have the developed wings needed to take flight from the water. This allows them a safe avenue up onto the dock and back with their mama, which is just too cute!

"This Waffle House menu has sales tax included."

I don't get why this can't be implemented more broadly. It helps those who are budgeting, and it's not like it changes often enough that it'd be a burden to update all the time. Customers everywhere would appreciate it a ton!

"Neighbors just cut a path through their tree to accommodate sidewalk."

Not only that, but they created the perfect photo-op for every Instagram user out there wanting to post their fall 'adventures,' wherein they just walk around their neighborhood.

"Kudos to Sanpellegrino for putting this lid so I can drink directly from the can without worrying about dust / dirt / microbes."

Huh. I'd never considered why they add this peel-away cover, I just figured it was a little gimmick. Now I'll only be able to think about any residual dust and germs that reside on the tops of every other can I drink from, forever.

"The best sheet sets have these tags."

That's a fact, and I long for the day where I have a set. I eagerly await to replace my sheets, not wanting to be wasteful and get rid of my current ones. I'm over being turned around and confused trying to make my bed.

"Publix has cookie cakes that look like pies."

How cute! It's a nice alternative for those who don't like pie but still want to get in on that festive spirit when holidays roll around and pies feel like a tradition. They almost look like cartoon versions of pies!

Shaking with rage.

The context to this pic was shared in the title of the original post, which read, "Accidentally dropped my iPad while setting up my OneDrive. When the device gets shaken, the app thinks it’s out of frustration and suggests submitting feedback."
