This Trans YouTuber Fires Back at Victoria’s Secret’s Anti-Trans Comments, and Direct Hit

The response to comments made by Victoria's Secret chief marketing officer Ed Razek has been fierce since the latest annual fashion show aired on December 2nd. Pop star Halsey, who performed on the show, spoke out about the comments and has been joined by countless others. The comments in question according to Buzzfeed:

"Shouldn’t you have transsexuals in the show? No. No, I don’t think we should," Razek told Vogue. "Well, why not? Because the show is a fantasy. It’s a 42-minute entertainment special."

'Live Your Fantasy'

One response and video -- seen above -- comes from Nikita Dragun on Instagram. The trans woman and YouTuber wanted to show that the comments were very wrong and that transgender models could easily maintain the "fantasy":

dear Victoria's Secret, you said trans women can't sell the "fantasy" so here i am as a TRANS WOMAN selling the FANTASY! everyone is beautifully unique. embrace your differences. stand tall in who you are! live your fantasy and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

An Apology

Dragun made clear on Twitter that her video response is not a "hate video" and that there are "plenty of higher quality / inclusive lingerie brands" in the world. Razek has since apologized, but the controversy continues.

The responses to her video have been extremely supportive and Dragun has shown her appreciation:

"I never thought I'd be so emotional over a video but just seeing the outpouring of love and all the responses is so crazy to me"

It would seem that the time has come for a change.

Start Your Own

One interesting response to the video was some fans calling on Nikita to get behind her own lingerie line. With the power of some YouTube stars now -- for some of the simplest acts too -- this might not be a crazy idea.

Journey

According to Buzzfeed, Dragun officially changed her name and gender in 2017. She doesn't hesitate to show the transformation from her younger days to now on her Instagram page.

Other Fantasies

Victoria's Secret isn't the only fantasy that Nikita Dragun is poking holes in online. She's constantly living out plenty of fantasies with her different looks based on pop culture icons.

Here we have Leeloo from Fifth Element after she's first given life in the film.

Team Rocket

And for Halloween, Dragun and Gabriel Zamora dressed as the goofy, unlucky Pokemon TV series villains Team Rocket.

Carmen Sandiego

If you're wondering where Carmen Sandiego is or are currently searching for her to loot her riches, Dragun throws some confusion into the mix. This is not the real Carmen Sandiego.
